Our Supporters

Youth MOVE National has provided us with continuous support to start up and build our chapter. With monthly meetings with other Youth MOVE chapters, we have been able to work with and learn from chapters all around the nation. Youth MOVE National is a youth-driven, chapter-based organization dedicated to improving services and systems that support positive growth and development by uniting the voices of individuals who have lived experience in various systems including mental health, juvenile justice, education, and child welfare.

Thanks to contributions from the generous Veterans United employees, VUF funds our host organization, Flourish. Flourish provides various programs, support, and resources for youth throughout our community and for the Youth MOVE chapter.

The fun in Columbia Missouri starts at Level Up Entertainment. They brought the fun to our 2022 Halloween party with a donated prize for our costume contest. Level Up offers bowling, arcade games, ropes course, laser tag, mini golf, and roller skating activities. Connected directly to the Columbia Mall, this spot is a great place to spend an hour or two with friends or family. They are currently hiring Team Members and Line Cook/Prep Members.

Daniel Boone Regional Library (DBRL) is not just a library, but provides tons of other opportunities and events for anything you could be interested in. DBRL has Craft Kits, Events, Summer reading challenges, and more events for all ages. They also have their own events just for teens, so you can join youth your age and have fun! There is something available for everyone, so stop by and enjoy the peaceful environment of Daniel Boone Regional Library.
DBRL provided some fun freebies for our 2022 Halloween party, and event space for our CAP meetings.

Slackers is not just a record store, and not just a gaming store. Slackses provides everything you could want if you are a music lover, movie lover, game lover, or any combination of the three. Slackers staffs its stores with music, game, and movie aficionados who prided themselves not only on customer service but also on product knowledge. Slackers was kind enough to provide a donated prize for our 2022 Halloween Party Costume Contest. Are you a game, music, and/or movie aficionado? Become a member of the Slackers team with the application on their website! 

Andy’s Frozen Custard is a quick-serve frozen dessert business, focused on quality. Year round, Andy’s brings delicious cones and concretes to their patrons all around Missouri. Andy’s frequently gives back to the community and gave us a donation prize for our 2022 Halloween Party.

Flourish Initiative puts youth and families at the center of all their work and care. Working closely with Veterans United and Douglass High School, they work hard to weave resources and relationships together so all youth can flourish. As our parent organization, Flourish helped us launch our chapter, and have provided the adult support we needed to host our events.

 

Ragtag Cinema is a non-profit independent movie theater located on Hitt Street in Columbia, Missouri. Ragtag was kind enough to donate prizes for our 2022 Halloween Party. Ragtag Film Society exists to captivate and engage communities in immersive arts experiences that explore assumptions and elicit shared joy, wonder, and introspection. They do this by providing a variety of films played at their location, and are the host organization for True/False Film Fest.

Hot Box Cookies is a delivery cookie service, which is just what the world needs. They are dedicated to delivering warm, fresh-out-of-the-oven, melt-in-your-mouth cookies straight to your door. Hot Box Cookies provided some delicious cookies to our 2022 Halloween party to serve to our guests.

Boys & Girls Clubs fill the gap between home and school by providing positive environments where kids can make friends, have fun, build confidence, and grow. B&GC Columbia was kind enough to provide their space for our 2022 Halloween Party. Find out more about the clubs and events they have at their website below.

The Laser Clinic is a locally owned, physician directed Medical Spa that offers various services, including Laser Hair Removal, Esthetics Treatments, Botox, Tattoo Removal, and more! They are LGBTQ+ friendly, and do not require clients to be locked into a package.. The Laser Clinic has provided us with a very generous donation to help the mission we strive to achieve. Love Columbia serves anyone in Columbia who is struggling to provide for their basic needs or improve their life and wants help to create a path forward. Love Columbia supported us by providing donations for our 2022 Halloween Party, and stayed to party with us! We love the work Love Columbia does.

Boone County Children's Services fund provides funding for our Internship Program and Youth MOVE community action planning meetings. Flourish interns work throughout  Veterans United and help our Youth MOVE chapter coordinate special events each summer.

Wise Guys Pizza is a laid-back pie shop with Chicago-Style pizza available into the late hours of the night. Located downtown, it is a great place for college students to grab a late night snack, or anyone can have it delivered right to your door. Wise Guys Pizza provided us with delicious pies for our 2022 Halloween party. Want a taste of Chicago without the cold? Wiseguys is currently hiring managers, delivery drivers, and cooks. Grab an application at their store!

Being one of the most popular car wash choices in Columbia, Club Car Wash provides the best service to make sure your car looks as clean as the day you bought it. Club Car Wash was kind enough to donate a prize for our 2022 Halloween party.

We are jumping with joy for the support that Sky Zone Columbia MO has given us. They donated a huge prize for the 2022 Halloween Party. Sky Zone is a large indoor trampoline park chain with a location recently build in Columbia MO. Enjoy the fun of freestyle bouncing, dodgeball, fitness programs, and more! Sky Zone is fun for kids and kids at heart to bounce to their heart's content. If you love to stay active and are usually smiling, Sky Zone would love to have you on their team.

Sparky’s is a local Ice Cream shop known for their delicious creative flavors and funky decor. They always have some flavors you’d never find anywhere else, and are known for their Cicada ice cream back in 2011. Sparky’s gave us a donation prize for our 2022 Halloween Party. 

Nclusion+ is social club & lifestyle production company that provides a safe and valuable place for members to feel at home and be connected to fellow members of the LGBTQIA+ community. Nclusion+ provided us with a donated prize for our 2022 Halloween Costume Contest.
